My Netball Game

                      MY NETBALL GAME

My first game at the Otara netball competition was scary because the people that were there  were very tall. Some were smaller than me. My coach was Mrs Sabrina but Mrs Sabrina had to stay at school and Miss Zeier came to the games with us. The positions I played were GP and GD. By the end of the day my nerves were gone and I had lots of fun!

Patrols

Patrols

Every term we have a different shift from the morning to the afternoon. Being in the patrols team has a lot of responsibility because you have to be on time and make sure the road is clear for kids to cross. In order for you to be in the patrols team you have to be a year 6.

Before you go to school for your morning shift you have to have the correct uniform and covered shoes that have tabs at the back. The patrols uniform is a highlighted vest or if it is raining you will have a highlighted jacket and pants.

There are two places where the patrols go. It is at Flat Bush crossing or at the  traffic lights on Dawson road.

At the end of the year you will be rewarded by going to Rainbow's End  for free. I love being in the patrols team. When you become a year 6 you should join.

Playgrounds

I agree that children our age should go on the playground.

I feel if children play on the playground they will stay fit.
This means they will not become obese and they can live an active life.

Playgrounds are absolutely tones fun. If children  play on the playground they will have an awesome day resulting in them being happy in the classroom.

If children our age play on playgrounds they will make some new friends. Making new friends is great and children learn to communicate with others.

Therefore, these are the reason why children should play on the playground.

                                                                   Staying up late

I disagree that children should stay up late.

Firstly, children should go to sleep early because they have responsibilities. If they come to school late they could get kicked off teams or fired from being a patrols monitor.

Secondly, you can wake  up early if you go to bed early. this means you can play on the computer and you can do your homework. What is the result of doing your homework? You won't get in trouble from the teacher.

Thirdly, if children are late to school it will affect their education because they miss out on their morning routines and instructions.

Therefore, I disagree that people should stay up late at night.

Reading

                                                              READING!

I really think that children should not read.

Firstly, why would we want to read when we can learn new things through watching education programmes on the tv or internet? This is a much more exciting way to learn.

Secondly, you will waste your time looking at tiny words which will make your eyes sore.

Lastly, books are made out of paper which comes from trees. We should stop killing trees to make books because if we run out of trees we won't have oxygen to breathe.

Therefore I think we should not read!

Reading!

READING!

I strongly believe that children all around the world should read!

Firstly, reading helps children to grow up and get a good job which means when they are older they will be driving a flash car, live in a flash house and they will pay their bills.

Secondly, when children grow up and travel the world  there are a lot of signs that they will have to read. If they cannot read these signs they will find themselves lost in a foreign land.

Thirdly, reading is important because it helps us in many ways. For example, we read instructions to build or make things, we read maps to get from one place to another, we read the tv guide so we know what time our favourite shows are on and we read prices at the supermarket so we know how much money we are spending.

These are some of the reasons why I think  children should read, I rest my case!
